On September 20+21 the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas will play host to the Crossroads Guitar Festival. Eric Clapton organized the gathering in the early 2000's to benefit the treatment center he opened on the island of Antigua. 2019 will mark the fifth time he has assembled some of the biggest names in the business (past, present and future) for a weekend of great music, huge fundraising efforts and no egos.
This year's lineup may stand out as one of the best to date. It includes performances by Jeff Beck, Billy Gibbons, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Buddy Guy ,Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Robert Cray,Gary Clark Jr., Jimmie Vaughan, Los Lobos and Albert Lee. Like I said, legendary lineup!
Victory Plaza, which is adjacent to the arena will feature interactive exhibits by manufacturers of guitar and accessories; Gibson, Fender and Ernie Ball will set up. There will also be performances and clinics by some of the musicians performing at the festival and up-and-coming artists. Admission fore the village is free and will be open from noon to 8PM on both days.
Tickets for the main stages go on sale to the general public at on April 5 at 10AM CT; Citi cardmembers will have access to a 24-hour pre-sale beginning April 2 at 10AM CT. More details can be found HERE
