ZZ Top Launching 50th Anniversary Tour

That lil' ol' band from Texas has been at it for nearly 5 decades. The Hall of Fame blend of Blues, Rock and Texas Boogie from ZZ Top shows no signs of stopping. They recently announced Summer tour plans to celebrate their Golden Anniversary. In this article from UCR, guitarist/vocalist Billy Gibbons says:

"We’re truly excited to be appearing across the continent this summer and fall, playing our bluesy kind of rock like we started in ’69. The beards, Frank's excepted, are perhaps a bit longer, yet nothing else has changed. We're keeping it that way.”

The 50th Anniversary tour kicks off on Aug. 16th at the Sunlight Supply Amphitheatre in Ridgefield, Washington. It will work its way across the Country and land here in Boston, September 18th at the Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion. According to their official website tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, April 12th 10am. Get more info HERE

The first leg of dates will include Lynyrd Skynyrd while the second half will be opened by Cheap Trick. (which includes the Boston show)
