This November a new exhibit will open at the Museum of London to commemorate and coincide with the 40th Anniversary of the iconic album London Calling by The Clash. More than 100 items from the band’s archives will be on display, including original lyrics, stage-worn clothes, pics/home video and more. Most notably, the Fender Bass that was obliterated by Paul Simonon at a NYC gig and was featured on the album cover. Best of all for Fans, the exhibition is FREE and will run November 15th through Spring of 2020.
The celebrations continue on the album front too. Sony Music will release the London Calling Scrapbook– a 120-page companion publication which will feature London Calling on CD plus more unpublished material from 1979.
Oh and incidentally, Happy Birthday to the late, Joe Strummer. The legend would've turned 67 today.
