Chris Cornell Signature Model Guitar On The Way

This week Gibson Guitar Corp. announced plans for a new signature model Chris Cornell guitar. The limited edition ES-335. It was modeled after the late front man's personal guitar and features the instrument features aged Lollartron humbucking pickups, clear "no number" Top Hat knobs, an Olive Drab Satin finish and a Mother-of-Pearl Chris Cornell 'signature' peghead inlay.

It's being produced in cooperation with the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation and was first unveiled at the tribute concert earlier this year in L.A. Cornell's foundation aims to protect the world's vulnerable children — and the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting those with the group of rare genetic connective tissue disorders.

The Gibson Chris Cornell ES-335 goes on sale (EST. Price: $3,999) worldwide through authorized Gibson dealers September 3rd. More details and pics HERE
