November 1st ABKCO Records will unleash a newly remastered Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones. The iconic 8th U.K. album (and 10th here in the U.S.) will celebrate it's Golden Anniversary nearly 50 years to the day of its original release. The album kicked off a series of some of the most memorable and successful releases of the band's career. It's also significant in that it features the final contributions from guitarist Brian Jones who would be fired during the sessions. When he did bother to show up he would only play backing instruments. With that firing, came the addition of new guitarist, Mick Taylor. Though he only appears on "Live With Me" and "Country Honk".
The limited-edition set features two vinyl LPs and two HybridSuper Audio CDs, It also includes a replica 7" single of "Honky Tonk Women" / "You Can’t Always Get What You Want," which was released months before the album, in its original sleeve. But wait...there's more:
This new edition also has three 12” x 12” hand-numbered replica-signed lithographs; a 23” x 23” poster featuring art and an 80-page hardcover book that includes previously unpublished photos. Oh, and don't worry fans, if your budget needs to be scaled down a bit, Let It Bleed will also be re-released on CD and as a digital download.
