If he were still rockin' this mortal coil,Stevie Ray Vaughan would've turned 65 today. We can only speculate how many more killer records, live shows and musicians he would've inspired by now. But we can, in all certainty, always remember and be grateful for all that he gave us while he was here.
Sure, we fans can sit here all day/night and play each other our favorites from youtube etc. This year's post is from his second appearance on Austin City Limits,October 10, 1989. It was just a week after he celebrated his 35th Birthday. Stevie was clean, clear as a bell and his playing was as ferocious as ever. Here's five examples below:
