It's not often a rock band gets to celebrate a 50th Anniversary. Led Zeppelin's surviving members have been doing just that all year. They've released studio album remasters, web videos retelling their history and a giant compendium of personal pictures of stories from their sorted past in hardcover book form. Now comes a signature line of clothing which they think captures the true essence of the band.
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant partnered with renowned Rock Fan/Mens Clothing Designer, John Varvatos to create a "capsule collection" including several t-shirts with different Zeppelin-related logos and images, dress shirts, leather jackets, a velvet jacket, a tour jacket, black jeans, scarves and a long-sleeve cotton pullover shirt. Think: Throwbacks that bring you back to where it all started for the mighty Zeppelin late '60's/early '70's, the official website says the line evokes:
"the band's innovative aesthetic intertwined with John Varvatos' penchant for detail and craftsmanship."
The designer, himself, had this to say when talking about the capsule collection:
"Working with Led Zeppelin on this collaboration is a dream come true. Their music and style has had a huge influence on me…It's been incredible developing this collection with the band, and creating clothes that represent the roots of their style, but at the same time are extremely relevant today."
