The Chuck E. Cheese Band Is Retiring

After 42 years of rocking stages at over 600 Chuck E. Cheese's, the Munch's Make Believe Band has officially announced their retirement. The animatronic characters have been dazzling and delighting the masses but due to an extensive redesign campaign, they are being phased out completely. The chain has plans for a new, interactive dance floor area and an upgraded token card system.

According to this article from UCR, Chuck E. Cheese previously announced plans to phase out the band in 2017, and then last year, the company staged a "farewell tour" that turned out to be nothing but an April Fool's Day prank. Don't get too sad though, like most every other "Farewell" act, the band will be back in another 3-4 years for a reunion tour. There legacy will always be preserved thanks to Youtube. Scroll down to see some wacky hyjinx when theses fun-loving furries malfunctioned.
