Flashback Friday: It was December 6, 1986 Ringo Starr became the first former Beatle to use his name and likeness for a T.V. Commercial. It was an ad for the Sun Country Wine Cooler company. They took off during the "Wine Cooler" craze in the early '80's (think: hard seltzer craze of the last 5 years). I did a little digging on the interwebs and found this thread that talks about the brand offering wine coolers in a 2-liter size! According to reports, Starr was paid “in the seven figures" to rep the product.
