On December 6th, The Who released their first new album of original material in 13 years. WHO, as it is titled, was recorded in London between February and August of this year. It started getting critical buzz thanks to the band adding a few songs into the their live setlist while on the road.
As of today, it is a few thousand copies in the lead for the #1 spot on the U.K. Album Charts. This would be a milestone, 50 years in the making for the British icons. The Who’s first and only UK Number 1 album to date is Who’s Next, released in September 1971.
