After reading this article on twentytwowords.com I have it to admit, MY mind is blown. There's a famous scene in the 1990 Holiday classic "Home Alone" where "Kevin"(Macaulay Culkin) plays a VHS video of an old time, black and white movie to scare away the "Wet Bandits".
At one point, you can read the label of the tape as "Angels With Filthy Souls". I, like probably every one of you reading this, figured the director's found some classic, little known mob movie that had some ties back to the movie studio or the Director or something. Well, the bombshell is: this movie does not exist. It was just cleverly pieced together to look like a real film. Most likely this was done so the Producers wouldn't have to pay for the rights to use footage from an ACTUAL black and white movie of the time.
File Under: Now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
