Allman Brothers Revival With Former Members In NYC

Last Night at Madison Square Garden NY., former members of the beloved Allman Brothers Band paid tribute to the Brothers they've lost and celebrated their 50-year legacy of music along the way. Warren Haynes,Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge, Reese Wynans (SRV Keys), Jaimoe, Chuck Leavell and Duane Trucks delivered a blistering, 22-song setlist to the masses. They took the stage billed simply as "The Brothers".

It marked the first time in 6 years they took the stage together to perform these classic tunes. .October 29th, 2014 saw the final concert at NY's Beacon Theatre. Three years later, we lost both Gregg Allman and Butch Trucks. In a recent piece from UCR, Nephew/guitarist Derek Trucks had this say:

From the Fillmore East to the Beacon, NYC has always been a spiritual home for the Allman Brothers," So, it only feels natural to honor uncle Butch, Gregg, Berry [Oakley],Duane [Allman]and all the other brothers and sisters we have lost along the way here at MSG. I'm excited to get to play these songs with Jaimoe and the Brothers one last time to celebrate 50 years of this music.”
