As The Rolling Stones continue their latest Global Trek to celebrate their sixth decade of rock, fans will soon be treated to a new documentary series this Summer. My Life as a Rolling Stone will premiere on the Epix cable network as a four-part series. The labor intensive project was co-directed by Oliver Murray and Clare Tavernor, both of whom have covered some of the band's territory n the past. This new offering, however, promises fans an "inner circle" experience. The Epix network head honcho Michael Wright had this to say :

“This distinctive documentary captures the raw and organic energy that defines The Rolling Stones and tells the gripping, epic story of their journey. I am excited for viewers to experience this legendary band as few ever have before.”

Look for My Life As A Rolling Stone beginning August 7th. In other 'Stones-related news, they've got another archive concert release out now. Licked Live In NYC is a CD/DVD companion concert film originally released in 2003 as part of an HBO Special. This polished up version of the Madison Square Garden show has been restored, remastered and includes a bunch of bonus tracks and even some rehearsal footage. And Hey, PRIZE ALERT: you can win a copy all next week (June 27th-July 1st) with Karlson, McKenzie and Heather's Classic Rock Clash, weekdays at 8:40 a.m.
