On December 14th, Big Night Live hosted the 2022 Boston Music Awards presented by Jack Daniels. The ceremony, now in its 35th Year, showcases, recognizes and supports local artists, venues and industry professionals who work tirelessly in a variety of music genres. I had the opportunity to catch up backstage with some of this year's Nominees. First up was guitarist Matt Stubbs, who's band GA-20, wound up taking home the trophy for Best Blues Artist.
Next up was Rock Artist Of The Year Nominee, Aaron And The Lord. The project includes Aaron Perrino (nominated for Vocalist Of The Year) former frontman of The Sheila Divine and Dear Leader as well as Producer and multi-instrumentalist, Steven Lord. Their latest studio effort "World On Edge" also features the vocal talents of Tanya Donelly, (Throwing Muses/The Breeders and Belly) on four of the tracks.
Finally, fellow Rock Artist Of The Year, Salem Wolves piled into our backstage lounge after an exhilarating performance to help open the Awards Show. Great group of guys here. I think we'll be hearing a lot more from them in the next year.
