Michael Hurley was born and raised in the Boston area, and he's lived and breathed the Boston sports scene his entire life. After accepting that he'd never make it as the shortstop of the Boston Red Sox, he ventured into sports media, covering the local teams for NESN.com from 2009-12. He then moved on to CBS Boston, where he covered five Super Bowls, two Stanley Cup Finals, two World Series and an NBA Finals while also earning an honorary master's degree in Deflategate during his 12 years on the job. In addition to making regular appearances on Boston TV and radio, he was also recognized in the PFWA's Dave Anderson Column Writing Award in 2021.

Now a washed-up athlete, Michael lives in the suburbs with his wife and three daughters, where he obsesses over his lawn and occasionally tries to remember how to play the drums.
