Mike Campbell Of The Heartbreakers And Fleetwood Mac Postpones Solo Tour

Via jambands.com: Mike Campbell, best known as the guitarist in Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and later Fleetwood Mac, and his band The Dirty Knobs have announced that they will delay both the release of their debut album Wreckless Abandon and their headlining tour, which was due to begin later in March.

Campbell explained that the postponement was due to health issues. “On Sunday night my doctors discovered some health issues which while fully treatable, need to be addressed before going out on tour,” Campbell wrote in a statement. “The good news, well really it’s great news, is that I’m going to be just fine. The bad news, and I say this with much frustration, is the tour which was scheduled to start next week will need to be postponed and rescheduled for September. Subsequently, we’ll also need to postpone the album release until September 18.”

While they can’t perform at New Orleans Jazz Fest, the band will still join Chris Stapleton’s “All-American Road Show” this summer, and their headlining tour will now begin in September.

Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs tour dates in Boston at the Brighton Music Hall have been rescheduled. Monday March 23rd's sold out show will now be on September 30th, the Tuesday March 24th concert is rescheduled for October 1st.
