He’s set the record for the highest ratings in Boston radio history, he’s won the most prestigious award in the radio industry, and now Rich Shertenlieb is coming to WZLX and iHeartRadio.

For years, Rich Shertenlieb was the frontman for the hard-edged band Miller’s Tale, a group managed by Gold Mountain Entertainment, the same company who represented Nirvana, The Beastie Boys, and Tracy Chapman.

After the band broke up, Rich started working in radio at the legendary 99X in Atlanta where he started to grow an immediate following, leading to his hiring at the nationally syndicated “Kidd Kraddick in the Morning” radio show out of Dallas, Texas.

He then formed the wildly successful “Toucher & Rich” show which not only dominated the New England airwaves for the good part of a decade and a half, but in 2022 set the record for the highest ratings in Boston radio history. In 2023, they beat their previous record and did it again.

Along the way Rich won radio’s highest honor, The Marconi Award, for Major Market Personality of the Year.

Rich is deeply involved with local charities and has made an impact in his community. Rich helped form the Miracle League of Massachusetts, a baseball league for children with special needs, as the organization’s original president. He regularly hosts the Storybook Ball which annually raises millions of dollars for the Massachusetts General Hospital For Children. He works closely with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), whom he credits with saving his wife’s life, and has ridden in the Pan Mass Challenge, and along with his wife has helped raise close to a half million dollars for DFCI. And every year for the past decade, Rich has walked in the “Light The Night” walk, raising almost $200,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
