The Sox Open The Season With An Inside The Park HR

The Boston Red Sox started the season running today against The Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. Eduardo Nunez hit the rare, inside the park home run . Nunez becomes the first Red Sox player with an inside-the-park home run on opening day since 1968, when Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski did it. AND, the Red Sox have now hit an inside the park HR in 2 straight games: Devers in Game 4 of the ALDS last October. 

Everything went according to plan: Hit it into the alley in center, have two fielders converge on it failing miserably, have the ball roll towards the wall, belly slide into home plate completely winded.
