Barbara Bush Once Wrote To Marge Simpson

As we pause to remember Barbara Bush, let’s go back to 1990 when two famous American Moms found common ground after the First Lady said in a People Magazine interview that, “The Simpsons was the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Marge Simson, obviously hurt by those words, wrote a polite letter to Mrs. Bush telling her she was mistaken. Barbara Bush responded with an apologetic and very funny letter of her own.
