Via WCVB.com We still don't know if he's definitely playing for the New England Patriots this year, but Rob Gronkowski could be smoking a victory cigar at The Kentucky Derby.
The tight end announced Wednesday that he has a “substantial stake” in the 3-year-old colt named "Gronkowski", who earned a spot in the biggest horse race of the year.
“This horse is a winner, and I love a winner,” Gronkowski said. “When I heard about the racehorse being named after me, I started watching and got really stoked when he started winning. He’s won his last three races and is now headed to the Derby. I’m all in. Welcome to the Gronk Family.”
Frighteningly, he also said he would like to ride the horse before The Derby on May 5th. “I’m not trying to ride it for a full speed ride,” Gronkowski said. “I just want to get the feel of what it’s like to be on top of one. Maybe I’ll go for a full speed ride once I get comfortable.”
PETA is not going to like this.
