Aerosmith Played Their First Show Ever This Week In 1970.

The Train Started Rollin' this week in 1970, when Aerosmith played their first gig at Nipmuc Regional High School in Mendon. Little did they know that the rock star lifestyle was waiting for them. World wide concert tours, millions of albums sold, partying too hard, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a residency in Las Vegas.

Not too bad for a bunch of guys who were playing for a buck.

It's also the anniversary week of their 1325 Commonwealth Ave. crash pad being put on the register of historic places in 2012.

I managed to score a seat on their Duck Boat as it cruised up Comm. Ave. toward their old apartment. It was surreal. The closer we got, the louder the crowd! And when they stepped out and played a 45 minute concert on the back of a flatbed truck, the place went crazy!!!
