The yearly argument over whether "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie or not has been settled by the studio that made it. It's not only a Christmas film, it’s the greatest Christmas film of all time!
Twentieth Century Fox has released a new trailer for the 1988 film, cut to make it look like true festive fare, and accompanied by the tagline: “The greatest Christmas story ever told”.
The film's star, Bruce Willis, doesn't agree though. He ended his appearance on The Comedy Central Roast of Bruce Willis by declaring: “Die Hard is not a Christmas movie,” then punctuated it with a harmonica solo. Bah-humbug!
