After 192 Years, Durgin Park In Faneuil Hall Is Closing!

What is happening? First, Friendly's starts closing all over New England, and now this.

After 192 years, Durgin Park in Faneuil Hall is closing. Since 1827 diners have been feasting on lobster, Yankee Pot Roast and Shepherds Pie while the wait staff hits you with playfully rude comments. But today, employees were told January 12th will be the last day. 

 Michael Weinstein, CEO of Ark Restaurants, said it's just not profitable anymore. High maintenance costs of an old building and a string of new restaurants springing up in the Seaport District didn't help either.

So, if you want to get one last meal at a Boston institution with the sign that says, "Established Before You Were Born", you better hurry. Reservations are filling up fast...
