2018 was a great year for concerts in Boston, but 2019 is making a run to top it.
The Who are coming to Fenway Park on September 13th. According to front man Roger Daltrey, the "Movin' On" tour will feature a local orchestra that will join the band every night of the tour for music spanning their entire career, plus songs from their forthcoming new album. "Be aware, Who fans!" he said in a statement. "Just because it’s The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music. This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on."
Tickets for The Who at Fenway Park September 13th go on sale Jan. 24 at 10am at RedSox.com/TheWho.
Another cool show this Summer is Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music fame, coming to The Boston Opera House on August 5th. Word is he'll be highlighting songs from Roxy Music's last studio release, 1982's "Avalon". It would be awesome if he did that album in it's entirety, but they're not saying if he is or not.
