Friends ended 15 years ago tonight on May 6, 2004. Rachel Green, Ross Geller, Monica Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing and Phoebe Buffay were six 20 something year-olds, living off of one another in the heart of New York City in incredible apartments they would never be able to afford and drinking incredible amounts of coffee. For ten years they shared family trouble, past and future romances, fights, laughs, tears and surprises as they learn what it really means to be a friend. When they first started, cast members made $22,500 an episode, now through reruns and a Netflix deal, each cast member receives two percent of the show’s back-end profits. Since this hit series continues to generate massive revenue and makes Warner Bros around $1 billion every year, that means each cast member pulls in around $20 million every year. (Jaw drop) That's a lot of money for singing "Smelly Cat."
