Would You Go See A Hologram Tour?

Today the estate of Whitney Houston announced a publishing deal that could spawn an album of unreleased music, a Broadway musical and, a hologram tour of the late singer. Rolling Stone spoke to BASE Hologram CEO Brian Becker, whose company will create the Houston hologram, he said the concert experience will feature, “a complete band onstage, backup singers, and dancers. We will substantially increase our use of the creative elements that are available to us with this technology because it is cinematic, which means we can do animation and special effects to really enhance the show.”

The Ronnie James Dio Hologram tour, "Dio Returns," is coming to The Palladium in Worcester on June 6th. It's a 90 minute show featuring music from throughout Ronnie James career, from Rainbow to Black Sabbath to Dio, and include hits like “Holy Diver,” “King of Rock N’ Roll” and “We Rock.” I don't know, I'm kind of on the fence about seeing a hologram tour. It's cool that the musicians performing on the tour all played in Dio's band, but it's a little eerie to see him perform from the great beyond. What do you think? Check out this video...
