I am not the greatest flyer. I can hide it pretty well, but I still find it hard to believe that those giant, flying tubes can stay up in the air. So when turbulence starts, there's parts of my body that pucker right up. I was on a flight to Florida once where we hit turbulence so bad that all the overhead bins opened up spewing out luggage and coats all over the place. I had many, many drinks upon landing.
A passenger shot this video inside an ALK Airlines flight from Kosovo to Switzerland showing when turbulence hit. A flight attendant is violently thrown in the aisle, the drink cart goes airborne with beverages raining down on everyone in the row, and people just scream in terror. Just the kind of thing that makes me suggest that we drive 12 hours to Gramma's house.
