What happened? The Banana Splits Adventure Hour used to follow the goofy adventures of four guys in animal costumes who played in a rock band, and drove around in those cool banana buggies. Fleagle the Beagle, Drooper the Lion, Snorky the Elephant, and Bingo the Gorilla were the kind of wholesome Saturday morning entertainment that got funnier as you powered through that 3rd bowl of Cocoa Puffs.
Now, they've taken a dark turn. The first trailer for The Banana Splits Movie is out and apparently they get pretty pissed off when the show is cancelled, and these giant, cuddly animals turn into killers! That's right, they're going full Freddy as they sing, "Flippin' like a pancake, poppin' like a cork/Fleagle, Bingo, Drooper and Snork."
