38 Special Singer Was On Board That Flight With A Blown Engine This Week

I posted the video of this mid-flight engine blowout this week because this would be just the thing that would put me over the edge. Look at it! The engine cone is bouncing around inside the blades of the orange glowing engine. Well, it turns out that 38 Special lead singer Don Barnes and his wife were among the 154 passengers on board the Delta flight from Atlanta to Baltimore when the engine flamed out, and UltimateClassicRock reports it was every bit as frightening as it looks.

"It was definitely a harrowing event. Everyone on that plane was very concerned as we descended. It's not something I would ever want to experience again.” Another passenger said, “After we heard the boom, we just saw all this smoke come up into the cabin, and that's when we really started freaking out, it started slowing down a little bit, it started getting hot [and] air cut off.”

That's when everyone started praying and texting loved ones. The plane would land safely, but how would you handle this?
