The people at San Diego Comic-Con went crazy this afternoon when Tom Cruise made a surprise appearance to hype the forthcoming “Top Gun: Maverick”
“I felt it was my responsibility to deliver for you,” Cruise told the crowd, then had them swooning by reminiscing about the original “Top Gun” shoot in Downtown San Diego.
The first trailer came out this afternoon and the flying sequences are crazy, especially Maverick taking off from the aircraft carrier with a head snap. There's a lot of memories of the first movie in the trailer, his old leather bomber jacket, racing a fighter jet taking off on his motorcycle, and another shirtless volleyball game?
Val Kilmer will reprise his role as “Iceman” in the sequel, and Miles Teller plays Goose's son. We're going to have to wait until next year to see it, but you can check out the trailer now.
