We've all done a belly flop. Sometimes on purpose to amuse our friends, sometimes by accident, but it always feel like your skin has split open when you hit the water and that your digestive system has fallen out. Now imagine doing it from a high board.
Every year they hold the World Belly Flop Championship in Norway, and the 2019 festivities are this week! These aquatic daredevils leap from the high board and do the exact opposite of what the high-dive professionals do in competition, they kick, flail, and twist themselves into a position for their stomach to make high speed contact with the water first.
