It feels weird to say it, but Happy 70th Birthday Bruce Springsteen! Yes! He's 70! He's logged a lot of concert miles since May 9,1974 when rock critic Jon Landau saw him at the Harvard Square Theater in Cambridge and famously wrote,"I saw rock and roll future, and its name is Bruce Springsteen. And on a night when I needed to feel young, he made me feel like I was hearing music for the very first time."
Springsteen rocked his sixties with stadium tours, a long running one man show, "Springsteen on Broadway, published a memoir, "Born To Run," and even put out a Southern California cowboy sounding album "Western Stars," is there any doubt that he's going to keep his foot on the gas for his next decade? He's already promised a new album with The E Street Band and a huge tour for 2020.
So tonight, raise a glass to Bruuuuuuuuuuuuce, and all those great marathon concerts he's given us, and here's to many more!
