Aerosmith Played A Free Concert On Comm. Ave 7 Years Ago Today

7 years ago today 1325 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston became a rock shrine. It was on this day that the City of Boston made the Bad Boys From Boston's first crash pad a historic landmark. Thousands of people showed up as the band members were presented with a plaque, and their own individual Commonwealth Ave. signs.

Then it was showtime! The band hopped up on a flatbed truck parked out front, Tom Brady and Jerod Mayo waved to the crowd, and Aerosmith whipped into a 45 minute free show. Steven Tyler told the crowd, “When we lived here, we were never up this early, what are you doing here?’’

The day started with a Duckboat parade from TD Garden. I was lucky enough to be invited to ride along. It was absolutely crazy pulling up to their apartment with everybody screaming. Check it out!
