This was cool. In honor of Veterans Day, the New York Knicks invited 96 year old World War 2 veteran Pete DuPre' to play the National Anthem before the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.
The man known as "Harmonica Pete" had the Garden crowd spellbound as he played. DuPre' enlisted in the Army at age 17, after both of his parents died, and served three years overseas, where he treated wounded service members as a medic in the United States Army 114th General Hospital Unit in Kidderminster, England.
The team presented Pete with a custom Knicks harmonica before the game. Watch...
