Maybe you ride the Green or Orange line in Boston every day. Would you like to have one of those cars for your very own? I know! It's like a dream come true, right?
The MBTA is auctioning off vintage trolley's from 1978 to 1990 that have been retired from the fleet. The auction comes with a warning, "these units have sat for at least three years." Seriously, are they going to smell any different? They also say that salvageable parts have been removed, and these cars are NOT operational. You have to take them away on a low bed truck. Damn! I'd love to run one of these down some abandoned rail line.
But wouldn't it be cool to make one of these into a Patriots game watching man cave?
