One of the saddest things about the Grammy Awards each year, aside from their lack of respect for rock music, is the "In Memoriam" segment where they pay tribute to musicians and people from the music business who have passed away.
Last night, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue united for a tribute to artists we lost this past year such as Peter Tork, Nipsey Hussle, Doris Day, Diahann Carroll, Eddie Money and Rush drummer Neil Peart. A photo of each artist was shown as a medley of various songs played.
When they got to the late Cars frontman Ric Ocasek, they spelled his name "Rick." Doesn't anybody double check these things? Give the man some respect!
