On March 1, 1974, Aerosmith released their second album, "Get Your Wings." The follow up to their debut album was under appreciated at the time, only making it to 74th place on the Billboard charts and finally going gold the following spring. However, it was full of songs that would become favorites at Aerosmith concerts. "Train Kept A-Rollin," "Same Old Song And Dance," "Seasons Of Wither," and "Lord Of The Thighs."
I love this album. As a kid I was threatened with bodily harm by my older brother if I ever touched his records, but when he left the house, I would blast, "Get Your Wings." This was the record that set up Aerosmith to take the world by storm. When "Toys In The Attic" came out a year later, they were already steering towards the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
