Want To Be Part Owner Of A Boston Club?

Earlier this month, it was announced that one of Boston's last music clubs was closing it's doors for good after 44 years. Great Scott on Commonwealth Ave. in Allston has hosted countless blues, folk, and punk bands, standup comedy nights, DJ sets, dance nights and became a well known college dive bar where you don't have to worry about spilling your PBR.

The music website Consequence of Sound called it the eighth best music venue in America, ahead of Madison Square Garden! It looked like the end, until a business opportunity for you to be part owner popped up. A movement has started to save Great Scott. Invest a minimum of $100, and the business agrees to share a portion of their revenue until you have been repaid 1.4x. They've already raised $39K in two days!

The website says,

"A pillar of Boston’s vibrant arts community, Great Scott has offered a stage to local musicians, comics, drag queens, and touring acts alike, and welcomed music fans of all kinds in its distinctly unassuming fashion. Spaces like Great Scott represent the life force of a neighborhood. As a landmark business for over 40 years we believe establishments like Great Scott are essential to the fabric of neighborhoods, and in light of Covid-19 will need the community's support to preserve the space for years to come."

You could enjoy the glamorous life of a club owner! "Hey Bobby, the toilet in the Men's Room is overflowing!"
