Via boston.eater.com. I thought eating at the now closed, "Top of the Hub" was pretty cool, but this is a different level. Two companies are working to bring Sky Dining to Boston.
Imagine, enjoying a delicious pasta meal as your feet dangle 180 feet over the city of Boston. Perfect Parties of Peabody has been hosting floating dinner parties for over a decade — but never here in Mass. A crane hoists a table surrounded by 22 amusement park ride-like seats for the customers, with servers standing in a space in the middle of the table.
I have so many questions. What if you enjoy a few pre-dinner beers and Mother Nature calls? Or they pull the table up and you totally freak out like one of those guys on a plane who tries to open the door? Do they slowly bring the table back down to the ground while your fellow diners hurl insults and dinner rolls at you?
