The Red Sox Want To Put You Up In The Green Monster Seats!

Via boston.cbslocal.com. The Boston Red Sox start their Covid-19 shortened 60 game season one week from tonight against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park. And while we can't be there to watch the games, your likeness could have one of the best seats in the house.

The Red Sox are giving you the chance to have a 20x30-inch cardboard cutout with your likeness sit atop the Green Monster. "The Monster Home Run Challenge" will have the team placing these cutouts in the Monster seats.

If your cutout is hit by a Red Sox home run, you receive the ball autographed by whomever hits the homer, two Green Monster tickets for the 2021 season, a custom Red Sox home jersey with your name, and a video replay of the home run. Think of it as the Jordan's Furniture sign contest, but YOU are the target! And don't worry if you think you don't have a good spot for a face crashing home run, they're going to rearrange the cutouts before each homestand. And at the end of the season, you get to keep your likeness, hopefully with a chunk of your face removed by a J.D. Martinez bomb.

A $500 donation to the Red Sox Foundation is required, with the proceeds going to help COVID-19 relief in Massachusetts. But you have to move if you want to get in on the first half of the season — July 24 through Aug. 19 — you only have until Saturday at 5 p.m. to visit redsox.com/monsterchallenge to join. Fans can also sign up for the second half of the season — Aug. 28 through Sept. 24.

It's for charity, you get to see your mug on TV, and scream like a maniac when a long shot starts heading toward Landsdowne St. Very cool!
