Nusr-Et Boston is owned by social media star Salt Bae, you know, the guy who will slice up your gold foil cooked steak and sprinkle salt on it at your table for about a grand? Salt, whose real name is Nusret Gökçe, had his place closed after the Boston Licensing Board said he posed an “imminent threat to public health and public safety resulting from the ongoing and repeated failure to adhere to COVID-19 public safety standards."
In the video, you can see the crowd of adoring fans willing to shell out big bucks standing outside the Arlington Street dining spot, some have masks, some don't. Because of that and other things like the tables being too close together, Salt Bae will not be salting in Boston for a while.
