Actor Rick Moranis was sucker punched in New York yesterday morning while he was walking on the sidewalk near the building that his character lived in in the Ghostbusters movie.
Surveillance video shows a man wearing a black “I (heart) NY” sweatshirt and a backpack hitting the 67-year-old “Honey, I Shrank The Kids” star and knocking him to the ground around 7:24 a.m. Thursday. Police described the attack as a random, unprovoked assault that happened while Moranis was walking south on Central Park West. According to an official, Moranis suffered back, hip, neck and head pain, though the full extent of his injuries was not clear.
Rick became a star in the eighties with a string of hit movies like "Ghostbusters" and "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids," but then dropped out of the limelight in the nineties to raise his own kids. So, you don't see a lot about him anymore.
Police released surveillance video of the incident and asked the public's help to identify the assailant. Check it out...
