Boston comedian Bill Burr hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend, and just like when Casey Affleck hosted in 2016, he brought out the, "real Bostonian," character for a fake ad featuring Sam Adams new fictitious fall beer, "Jack-O-Pumpkin Boston Ale."
As customers talk about the refreshing fall flavor, Bill sits with his face mask pulled down and hand in a worn out cast saying, “This is the kind of beer somebody brings to a party at your house, and it just sits in the fridge for like eight months,” Burr says. “And then one day your buddy comes over and he’s like ‘Hey, you gotta beer?’ And I’m like, ‘Well, you know, I’ve got this pumpkin s***.'”
It's funny! But is it as funny as Casey Affleck's, "real Bostonian," at Dunks? We even get to see SNL cast member Mikey Day play construction worker "Dewey" again.
I have to give the nod to Affleck for holding his cigarette out the door, and the line, "cut your nails for God's sake!" Check 'em out...
