Tiger Woods Injured In Car Crash, Jaws Of Life Used To Rescue Him

Tiger Woods has been injured in a serious car crash near Los Angeles, officials and witnesses say.

The accident happened at 7:12 a.m. today in Ranchos Palos Verdes California, just south of Los Angeles. The golfing superstar was driving alone, rescue workers were called for a single vehicle, roll-over accident.

“The vehicle sustained major damage,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. “Mr. Woods was extricated from the wreck with the ‘jaws of life’ by Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics, then transported to a local hospital by ambulance for his injuries.”

While details about Tiger's condition have not yet been released, it's being reported that his agent< Mark Steinberg, put out this statement,

"Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries. He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support."
