Fans will be allowed into Fenway Park for the Red Sox home opener April 1st, and they announced a new step to make you feel more comfortable about taking in a game while we wait for covid to finally go away.
Instead of going to the bullpen for a lefty, they're bringing in the robots! They've enlisted the help of covid blasting robots from Surfacide to clean the place up. In a press release the company said,
"With the home opener at Fenway Park a couple of weeks away, the Boston Red Sox have partnered with Surfacide, a global leader in UV disinfection, to help them safely reopen Fenway Park to fans, players and staff this season. Surfacide's UV disinfection robots are the newest members of the Red Sox "roster," working around the ballpark as their UV technology kills 99.99% of dangerous pathogens on hard surfaces in a single cycle, in as little as five minutes."
The real test would be if they could disinfect the Men's Room after the Motley Crue show at Fenway this Summer. Don't these robots look like the ones that patrol the aisles at Stop&Shop?
