Surviving Rush members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson said they were "speechless" after seeing the Ohio State marching band do their "Music of Rush" halfime performance during last weekend's Buckeyes game against the Maryland Terrapins.
Performing the songs, "Tom Sawyer," "Red Barchetta," and "Fly By Night," the marchers even paid tribute to late Rush drummer Neil Peart by beefing up the percussion section with 20 more toms and 20 more cymbals than usual and putting them at the front of the band. They marched around to spell out "Rush," "2112," and "XYZ," earning 5 hand clap emojis from Geddy and Alex.
