Pete McKenzie

Pete@wzlx.com

Pete was born in McKeesport, PA but was never a Steeler fan. He grew up in Cleveland OH and got his first radio experience at Cleveland State University calling games for CSU basketball and baseball. Pete began a long adventure with fellow radio star Kevin Karlson in 1985. Their careers spanned decades in several different markets. They have been hired/fired all over the United States, from Ohio to Virginia to Oklahoma to Massachusetts, just to name a few states that would have them over the years.

Heather Ford

Heather@wzlx.com

Heather was born and raised in the small town of Washingtonville NY. A town so tiny, the dairy farmer's daughters were also her ballet teachers. Fun fact: if you go to the town's Wikipedia page, you will NOT see her name under the Notable Residents section. (It's hard to compete with a guy who may or may not have directed an Eminem video). She began her radio career as the Morning Show Producer for Bob Miller on Mix 97 in Poughkeepsie. While there, she was asked to fill in on the Karlson and McKenzie Morning Show and was offered a permanent position with Kevin and Pete. She was only offered the job because she was the only woman Kevin Karlson didn't make cry and she spent many mornings trying to make him cry instead!

Kenny Young

Young@wzlx.com

With nearly three decades of experience in radio and broadcasting, Kenny Young joins the morning show as a full-time co-host. Kenny joined the WZLX family in 1997 as part of the Promotions Department before transitioning to host of the Weeknight Show in 2001, a position he held for over 20 years. Kenny expanded his role in 2020 when he became producer of the morning show. A homegrown product of Newton Upper Falls, Kenny is also an avid guitar player, a true rock n’ roll junkie and can often be heard screaming at Boston’s sports teams on T.V. throughout the year.
